Energy Research Talks Disentis 2026

from 28th to 30th January 2026

The annual Energy Research Talks Disentis are organised by the Alpine Energy Research Center in collaboration with universities and research institutions. The Alpine Energy Research Center AlpEnForCe, based in Disentis, was established to generate, coordinate and share knowledge for the benefit of the mountain cantons and other Alpine regions, and works with national and international research institutions. The Energy Research Talks Disentis provide a platform for knowledge transfer and for high-quality exchange between academia, practitioners, policymakers and associations on current issues related to energy in Alpine regions.

From 28th to 30th January 2026, the 11th Disentis Energy Research Talks will take place. As every year, the event is dedicated to the challenges of the energy transition—particularly in relation to mountain regions—and to transdisciplinary scientific exchange on energy issues among participants.

The entire Thursday will be conducted in German, as will the public event on Thursday afternoon on the topic “Alpine energy installations – does combining solar energy and wind energy lead to the hoped-for success?”

We are especially looking forward to contributions from early-career researchers within the framework of the SWEET projects. Alongside the scientific exchange, the informal networking and social activities will also retain their well-established place.

We look forward to welcoming you to Disentis for the 11th Disentis Energy Research Talks!
